Keep it simple

Three steps to a clearer check.

01

Check your audio output

Disconnect headphones or Bluetooth so the sound plays from the speaker you want to check. Start at a comfortable volume.

02

Point the speaker down

Wipe away surface water with a soft cloth. Hold the speaker opening downward and start a short cycle.

03

Listen, then decide

Play the voice sample before and after. If nothing improves, stop repeating and follow the troubleshooting guide.

Understand the sound

A small vibration.
A practical starting point.

Can this fix my speaker?

It may help when a little moisture near the speaker opening is causing temporary muffling. It cannot repair a damaged driver, corrosion, a blocked charging port or liquid inside the phone.

How does a speaker cleaner work?

The tool plays a 165–230 Hz sweep through your selected audio output. Speaker movement may shift droplets near the grille. This range is a tool preset, not a proven best frequency for every device.

Can sound remove speaker dust?

We have not established that sound removes packed dust, lint or sticky residue. Follow the dust cleaning guide for gentle external cleaning and your manufacturer’s instructions.

Should I turn my volume all the way up?

Start at a comfortable level and keep the device away from your ears. Increase only if needed. Stop if you hear distortion or the sound feels uncomfortable.

Do I need an app or microphone access?

No. The cleaning and test tones are generated in your browser without a microphone, account or audio upload. The optional voice sample uses your browser’s speech service.

How do I clean my iPhone speaker?
